Google Bulk Mobile-First Indexing Switch Batch Today (Last Batch Done)

John Mueller of Google has later confirmed this is indeed the last batch saying “Last batch! Tiny handful of sites that really don’t work on mobile are left, they’ll just be crawled with desktop Googlebot going forward.”

However, both me and a lot of other SEOs confirm that many fully mobile-friendly websites still haven’t been moved over to the Mobile Crawler.

Google Bard adds images in responses

As Danny Goodwin from Search Engine Land writes, Bard now includes Google Search images for visual responses. You can also ask Bard for images. Each image will be accompanied by its source.

Google announces new topic authority system to better surface news content

Unusual AMP Crawl Issues Reported In Google Search Console Starting May 12th

If you still use AMP on your site, then go to the AMP enhancements report in Google Search Console and filter by “crawl issues.” You may see a spike in the number of crawl issues reported on and going forward from May 12th.

Bing Chat Doubles Character Chat Limit

Microsoft has doubled the character limit of Bing Chat from 2,000 characters to now 4,000 characters. This is still rolling out for some users, but I personally see it in creative and precise mode, not in the standard balanced mode.
