NDIS Community Participation in Practice
A core funded program under the NDIS scheme, Assistance with Social and Community Participation is all about bringing the disabled community of Australia to the foreground and helping them to find their role in the community. The support will help you to find opportunities in your area of interest and also to build your independence and life skills. But what does this mean for you?
The way this translates into your daily life is entirely dependent on you. The support covers a wide range of activities that can be both personal and social. Which could be anything like: –
Attending School
Going to Work
Shopping
Meeting with friends and family
Appointments
Volunteering
Attending a camp or other recreational activities
Arranging holidays
Social networking
Learning to use social media
Watching a show or attending a concert
