Over the last year, Perficient and our Talent Development team have strategically expanded the existing Growth for Everyone programming to include a holistic approach aimed at guiding all people on their own personal career journeys.
This approach includes three learning pathways with carefully curated content:
- Learning to Lead
- Leading with Impact
- Consultant Curriculum
In late 2023, we celebrated our first graduating class from Perficient’s Learning to Lead program – with 91 colleagues graduating with new skills and fresh perspective. Now, as colleagues participate in the second cohort, take a deep dive into the program and read insights from 2023 program graduates.
Empowering Future Leaders Through Learning to Lead
Learning to Lead is a professional development program for individual contributors interested in exploring career growth in people leadership. Participants complete six themed modules and a combination of monthly facilitated training sessions and individual assessments discussing best practices for leadership and managing a team.
There are three Learning to Lead cohorts at Perficient, with participants grouped based on their region: U.S., India, and Latin America. The program equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to excel in people leadership roles, while offering a well-rounded learning experience containing the following elements:
- Collaborative Cohorts: Participants are grouped into cohorts with like-minded colleagues, fostering a supportive network throughout the professional development program.
- Engaging Modules: The program includes in-depth modules that delve into leadership best practices that enable self-paced learning.
- Training Sessions: Colleagues participate in monthly training sessions to further refine their skills through interactive exercises.
- Practical Application: The individual assignments provide exercises applicable to real-world scenarios, which solidify participants’ leadership foundation. Through these in-depth sessions, colleagues develop key leadership skills while learning best practices for managing a team.

Colleagues From Our First Graduating Class Share Their Perspective
As selected colleagues tackle new concepts and progress through our second cohort of Learning to Lead, let’s hear from our first graduating class about their experience.
“In 2023, I was lucky enough to be selected to participate in the Learning to Lead program and it was an incredible experience” said Garrett Hill, associate marketing manager, Corporate Marketing. “During the program, I had the opportunity to engage and converse with colleagues across the globe while learning about leadership skills and best practices. By engaging with global colleagues, I was able to experience and learn about a diverse range of leadership capabilities, thoughts, and practices, and I believe that is a valuable aspect to the course because you then gain multiple perspectives and outlooks from a range of backgrounds and experiences. I am very excited to take all my newfound skills and apply them to my growth journey at Perficient.”
“To learn and have a guide for the next steps in my career path was the best part of the Learning to Lead program,” said Rodrigo Gonzalez, senior software developer, Colombia. “The material can help with problem solving, which was a big hit. I looked for information to help increase my knowledge, and this program was the best choice that I made in this past year at Perficient.”
“I decided to participate in the program because I wanted to improve my soft skills,” said Peter Reint, lead technical consultant, Monterrey. “My overall experience with this program is that I was able to take away good lessons on topics that I had not followed up on. I saw how well things can work out when you really want to create better opportunities for yourself, your team, and your client. You just need the right type of knowledge and communication, which helps you to step out of your comfort zone. For me, this program did help a lot in achieving that and will help me continue to grow these skills in the future!”
